Program

Our child-oriented program encourages your child’s growth towards healthy independence by offering a variety of activities. Areas of interest include: arts and crafts, sports, block building, science, table games, and dramatic play. Our aim is to help each child develop positive skills in the areas of self concept, expression of their feelings, and self control. Rainbow school welcomes parental involvement in school activities.

Setting

Rainbow School has expansive classrooms and playgrounds. The After School rooms contain furnishings, toys, and materials carefully selected with school age children in mind. The safe and durable playground equipment provides ample opportunities for outdoor exploration.

Staff

Our well-qualified and experienced staff have great affection, knowledge, and understanding of school age children. The teachers guide the boys and girls through a comfortable environment away from home. They assist the children in communicating successfully with others and developing a positive respect for themselves.

Snacks

A mid afternoon snack is provided daily. Snacks may include crackers & cheese, bagels & cream cheese, apples & cheese, and seasonal fruits.

The Rainbow School After School Program offers a well supervised, age appropriate environment where school age children develop their socialization skills, fulfill their need for physical activity and self control. Working and busy parents can be confident that their children are being well and affectionately cared for in challenging, safe and secure surroundings.

Our Philosophy

Children in the Rainbow School After School Program are free to join any activities presented by the staff. They are not required to participate, only encouraged. After a long day at school, we feel that it is important to provide a noncompetitive, but stimulating environment that will interest your child. Our philosophy is to allow each child to strive for independence while developing responsible behavior and self control. The staff provides support and guidance to assist your child’s  growing sense of judgment and responsibility.
